Separate recycling bins 3 pieces For CAN, PLASTIC, PAPER
PP waterproof coating, water washable
My seven year old had asked me if we could recycle at our house of course I say absolutely and purchase this item. They are not very sturdy but a great teaching tool for young kids when learning about recyclingI researched a bunch of bags for my recycling and ended up with these - even after considering the "name brand" bags - just because I loved the design, coloring, and clear markings for each of the recycling types. I keep the plastic and can ones together since both go in the same bin where I'm at, and the paper one separate. My original intention was to stash these in the basement stairs, but I ended up liking them so much that they stay out in the open in our office. After a full summer of use, the bags are holding up just as well as they did on the first day. They have no trouble standing on their own, especially now that they've been filled and emptied several times. They hold enough recycling for our weekly pickups, though sometimes I wish the paper one was a bit bigger. Each bag is a bit larger than a paper grocery bag, to give you an idea. They've held up well to seltzer cans spilling a bit of water in the bags too.Compared to other bags like this, like I said, these are much more clearly marked. I don't want to have to explain to guests where to put what every time they come over. On other bags, the bag type would be so tiny for the sake of "good design" that I felt like it'd be hard to tell them apart unless you knew the color scheme, and I wasn't a fan of that. So even when these weren't immediately in stock like the others were, I waited.I definitely made the right decision going with these, and if they ever break - which I haven't managed to do yet - I'll be coming right back and getting more.Cheerful colors fits perfectly on the bench in my laundry room. I purposefully did not purchase the one with the frame. I instead lined the bottom of each with clean cardboard to help support the square structure and to keep the bins tidy and clean. Can bin ==> I have a small handled shopping bag that I throw the metal into, and when full, I life the bag out by the small handles and dump into my our outside metal recycling without worrying about cutting myself on any sharp edges. I then tuck the empty bag back into its place.Plastic Bin==> I have a brown grocery bag that fits almost perfectly in the bin, and when it is full, I carry the bag out to the curbside recycle bin, dump it and place the empty bag back in its place. (also put my recyclable glass in the plastic bin)Paper Bin==> I have a cardboard box that fits nicely in the bin, and when it is full,I put the light-cardboard and paper in an Amazon box, close it up and set it out with the curbside recycling.By doing this the Velcro simply keeps the bins in place and secured together. Expect this should last a very long time.Colors are a little bright but my husband liked being able to carry all three to recycle bin still attachedLove the color and the text printed on them. They're basically reusable grocery bags so they don't stay open on their own. The velcro helps but you have to stuff them to look like a bin. I should have bought the ones with the interior plastic so they stay open but for the price...not bad!I recycle a lot. I have to empty these every other day because they are so small. They are nice but a little flimsy.Good, sturdy bags. Nice material. Holds quite a bit.Had for three days so far. Works better than the plastic bins I had before as these are taller and easier to carry outside to sort. They work fine..a little hard to clean.
