This is a decent piece of furniture with some flaws. Be prepared to use some of your own ingenuity to build this, as there is likely to be a few defects.The product arrived carefully wrapped and without a scratch, which was great. As I started to build the piece, however, I quickly realized that one of the embedded anchors which is meant to hold the bolt end of a twist-lock fastener was entirely missing (it was supposed to have been embedded at the factory)! I had to rig up the hole with some wooden toothpick pieces and wood glue to make the hole tight enough to hold the bolt in place. At another point in the building process, I was tightening one of the twist-locks and it completely snapped. Fortunately, they do include a few extras.I also found that in some cases, the wooden pegs which I assume were meant to fit into their holes snugly, just didn't. They wobbled around and would fall out. I ended up gluing those as well for a bit of extra stability.Another flaw (which another customer wrote about as well) is that the wicker baskets that come with this piece have metal frames so if you don't add on some kind of felt padding (not included) they will immediately start to scratch off the paint in their cubbies.Another thing that's a bit frustrating is that there's nothing holding the cushion in place, which means that every time you stand up, the cushion slides forward a bit. If you want it to stay in place, perhaps consider putting some high-friction shelf lining underneath the cushion, or some adhesive velcro strips.With those modifications, it now does feel pretty solid, and definitely addresses the issues I had in my mudroom. The price on this item fluctuates, so given the quality issues described above, I'd recommend waiting until the prices dips before buying.Really love this bench and it does exactly what we need it to do. The only downfall is the baskets start to scratch the white wood whenever you pull them in or out. I wish the baskets were a softer cloth material so that it wouldn't do that. We are currently looking for alternative baskets to fix that problem, and I'm sure once we do, I will love this bench even more.Bench looks good and in regards of appearance and quality it is what we expected. Pretty easy to put together as well. 2 issues- took a long a time to ship and the other major issue is that the cushion smells like it was soaked in kerosene. we're trying to get the smell out but the odor took over the houseIt does it job. Wish the cushion came in other colors and was softer it’s like sitting in a rock.I wanted something for our Sun Room to add a little extra seating and storage, and this bench serves that purpose. It was a bit of a challenge to put together and I was disappointed in a mar in the back board, fortunately it is hidden by the basket, so not visible when looking at the bench.Love this piece so much. Only 4 stars because the baskets scratched up the wood when you pulled them out. We replaced with soft babric bins. This is a nice solid piece of furniture.Nice construction and appearance, but dear God the assembly instructions are terrible. Plan for some cursing.The dowels seemed to small and the cam locks didn't seem to lock properly or tightly. Disappointing for something this expensive.
